Hornsby’s spent the last decade scoring Spike Lee Joints, and cinematic cues enlivened 2019’s Absolute Zero as well as its quick follow-up Non-Secure Connection. (He also, legend has it, beat Allen Iverson in a game of one-on-one.) Since the 1991 breakup of his first band the Range, he’s played keys for the Grateful Dead, played jazz with Jack DeJohnette and bluegrass with Ricky Skaggs, and released a dulcimer album. He cracks jokes, shakes his head in bewilderment at days gone by, and-judging by his broad roster of famous collaborators-is equally comfortable lending favors as calling them in.
I have switched over to Windows Defender on the PC that was causing problems.Few contemporary music men have embraced the role of American troubadour like Bruce Hornsby. So it appears that using Avast Anti-virus along with Firefox and Windows 10 somehow created the problem. I re-enabled Avast and the "Secure Connection Failed" error message reappeared. On the PC that failed, I temporarily disabled Avast, and by golly the "Secure Connection Failed" message was no longer a problem when I entered something in the Search window.
On the PC that failed I was using Avast Anti-Virus.
Sure enough, on the PC that worked, I was using Windows Defender for anti-virus. I discovered on another forum that Avast might be the problem. When using the Search Window at bottom left of Windows 10 screen labelled "Search the web and Windows", I consistently came up with "Secure Connection Failed" regardless of what I was searching for.
I changed the default browser to Firefox (version 39) in both of them.
I had two PC's that I upgraded to Windows 10.
Avast Anti-Virus was the cause in my case
